Richard Burton

30 x 30 "

Welsh. (1925-1984)

As one of the great stage and film actors of the 20th century, Richard Burton was renowned for his deep baritone voice, magnetic presence, and extravagant lifestyle. His two marriages to Elizabeth Taylor was one of the most documented marriages of modern times and reached a public obsession that rivaled the Beatles in the 1960s. Burton struggled with alcoholism for most of his life, consuming as much as 3 bottles of hard liquor a day. He always yearned to be a serious writer and kept a diary filled with his private and poetic thoughts that detailed the incredible life he lived. The diaries were published after his death as The Richard Burton Diaries.
